From the Principal's Desk
Dear Students! Welcome to GTB Khalsa College of Education Dasuya. This College, an institution of academic excellence and achievement, was established in 2005. It is amongst one of the finest colleges within the Panjab University, Chandigarh. It has been rendering the services of training and educating the pupil teachers – B.Ed. The achievement of excellence and working for teacher effectiveness and efficiency is the mission and goal of the institution. The total system of education can be overhauled and streamlined only when the teachers are well trained (professionally and personally). Along with preparing of the board base of the teachers, the training in teaching methodology, skills and educational administration through intensive practice of teaching, micro-teaching and internship are rigorously imparted, in which the practicing schools are also engaged.
For this purpose, both academic and administrative machineries are geared in the right direction. Through democratic leadership, the college management is committed to achieve the holistic, integrated personality of learners. The college provides opportunities and experience to learner growth, through curricular and co-curricular means. It is wonderful to look back at the last few years, at GTB College, when there is so much to feel proud of and so much to celebrate. Last few years have been extremely successful and satisfying in terms of accomplishments and accolades in scholastic, co-scholastic and infrastructural development areas. The phenomenal academic achievements of our students have always added glory to the college by securing high percentage. The college has a tradition of excelling in Skill-in-teaching and extracurricular activities, in which our students continue to bring us laurels at the university, zonal and inter-zonal levels year after year. The success of GTB College in all spheres is the combined product of all our little efforts.
I feel proud to acknowledge the contribution of highly qualified, dynamic and multi-talented faculty, non teaching staff and my students for this. We have to continue to move ahead for producing and maintaining the best. Our teachers work hard throughout the year with the students to provide them high quality educational experience in the form of debates, group discussions, workshops, symposia, seminars and cultural competitions. I strongly believe that-
